Japanese Kintsugi
A tradition rediscovered.

Broken becomes beautiful

The art of transcending flaws

The art of Kintsugi dates back from the 15th century. Legend states that the Shogun of Japan, Ashikaga Yoshimasa, broke a tea bowl dear to him and asked his finest crafstmen to repair it. Several attempts left Yoshimasa displeased, until a group of craftsmen repaired it with molten gold.

The Shogun was pleased, and a timeless tradition was born.
Kintsugi has gained a new life in recent times. Through the art, flaws of the object and the artist are transfigured into beauty and uniqueness. We use a special glue with the shine and grip of gold to share the art belonging once to royalty with everyone.
